I want to start by apologizing, I honestly didn’t have a clue what Juneteenth was until literally a few seconds ago when I read it in a promotion. I’m my defense, this is only the 2nd national Juneteenth in which it is a federal holiday in the United States, so I know I’m not the only one. For those who still don’t know Juneteenth is the celebration to the end of slavery in the United States. Why it took us two centuries to celebrate the end of slavery, well, I’m not gonna get into that, but now that we are – was does that mean for ALL Americans?
The end of slavery definitely wasn’t the end of racism in the United States, so it definitely has taken quite a bit of time for the constitution to guarantee what it was intended to guarantee – rights / freedom for all Americans regardless of race or religion or any other discrimination, there’s too many to list, so don’t be offended that I don’t mention we’re also in “Pride Month”, but what does it mean in2022?
While inequality definitely still exists, I swear I’m the only Republican on earth that thinks reparations is a reasonable policy – whites could literally pass down wealth for hundreds of years, so some of us had quite a head start building wealth in our lifetimes, young black men and women just barely started collecting inheritances, and by far there’s less of them and they’re much smaller, I don’t need to do research to know this for fact, it’s common sense, many white families were already rich when they came from Europe and have been passing down wealth for hundreds of years. For certain not every white person grows up with a trust fund or gets a house when their parents die, but I promise way more of them do than black counterparts, certainly Kobe Bryant’s daughter got a head start even with him passing so young, but our children have access to the basics – food, shelter, free education until 18, guaranteed student loans to go to college, and for sure there’s extra benefits available to minorities for business loans, scholarships- I’m gonna stop there cuz to be honest, there’s still hell of a pretty big difference- but for 100% sure, anyone who wants to exceed in this country can start on that path when their young, work hard, and achieve success in America today. What success looks like is different to different people, but at Cj Contractor Services our primary concern is success with self employment, and there’s never been more opportunities available for young black men & women to start their own business & be self employed.
