I don’t like governor Abbot. I’m a conservative Republican but the Texas Governor is a bit of a fringe looney for me, but let’s look at the facts of this story for a second. A poor women carrying a fetus with a fatal birth defect was forced to carry to term a baby that died in 4 hours while a wealthier women was able to leave the state to abort the non-viable twin to save the viable twin and herself from danger. No Roe v Wade – the woman with twins was still able to get access to an abortion. I want to talk about the one that was not able. The mother and her husband and 5 children live in a trailer, neither have a vehicle to even leave the state. The death of a baby or a fetus is tragic, let me say that now. But the fatal condition was something that occurs 4 weeks after conception, Texas has a six week ban, had the woman been getting prenatal care, problem solved. But, she missed that opportunity, she couldn’t afford a funeral for the infant and received $50,000 through crowd source funding. She used this funding to fix her husbands non-running truck so one of them can get a job. She also bought herself her first car, which has already been in the shop multiple times for mechanical failure, so she gets 50 grand and buys and old school clunker. She also gets her tubes tied because of the tragedy she was “forced” to endure. Thank god. Let’s face it, she shouldn’t have been having more kids to begin with – and abortion is NOT birth control! A $.99 condom could have saved all of these problems, but instead she dealt with some trauma, got vehicles for herself and her husband, and got her tubes tied to her trailer doesn’t get anymore overcrowded. I am not sold that that was not the best possible outcome of her pregnancy. Getting pregnant is a choice, murdering babies is not. Is it stupid and unfair the government forced the poor woman to deliver a baby with a 4 hour lifespan? Absolutely. Ridiculous. But it did lead to the best possible outcome that wouldn’t have happened any other way. If you don’t want the government forcing you to make stupid choices for you, then make smarter choices for yourself. That’s it, my condolences to the poor lady, I’ve lost a baby, it’s a traumatic experience. Unfortunately the state forced my wife to fly without her medication causing the death of my baby and eventually the suicide of my wife – Texas has many horrific policies. Pro life abortion policy is part of them, but a very small part with a very good intention- it’s supposed to be about protecting the child’s life, which it couldn’t do so should have stayed out of the way. But two unemployed parents with 5 kids in a single wide trailer and no car shouldn’t be getting pregnant. While every pregnancy may not be intentional, it’s hard to categorize as accidental. You had five kids, you knew how it works – CONTRACEPTION.
That’s all…
